Our Story

Returning Home to the NC Mountains

Matthew Littlefield grew up in West Jefferson, graduating from Beaver Creek High School.  He went to college at UNC Charlotte, where he met his wife, Amy. In the summers, he would take classes at Appalachian State.

After undergrad, Matt and Amy moved to New York City, where Matt worked as the Director of Marketing for a non-profit agency, helping underemployed, and unemployed individuals receive IT training in one of the poorest congressional districts in the United States.  His company also refurbished and recycled computers and cell phones to be repurposed to deserving IT students and low-income families in the South Bronx.

Matt then went on to work for a Public Relations company in Manhattan for 11 years, assisting countless Fortune 100 and 500 companies, ranging from the FBI, Department of Justice, IBM, David Letterman, and even Samsung and Apple.  Missing the community in the High Country, the Littlefields began exploring business ownership. The Littlefields purchased Boone Cellular in 2018, where they hope to grow the business by providing excellent customer service, honest advice, and hands down the best repair shop in the High Country.

⚡️UPDATE⚡️ In 2022, after relentless encouragement by customers, the Littlefields opened a second Boone Cellular Repair in Matt's original home of Ashe County.

The Littlefields currently enjoy traveling the entire earth as much as humanly possible, all while mentoring the best repair shops in the High Country.
